September, in pictures

Before I jump headfirst into all things Halloween, here are some of my favorite pictures from September.  It was a very Pittsburgh-centric kind of month, even more than usual.

One of the most un-mini (and generously iced) cookies I've ever eaten.  Thank you, Pitt Alumni Assocation!

Lights + Cathedral = Mesmerizing!

Tailgating for the Pitt Homecoming game versus University of Virginia.

A rare graphic within Heinz Field.  After a 20-year drought, the Pirates are in the MLB playoffs!

Hard to believe we graduated an entire decade ago.  Crazy!

THE DUCK!  We celebrating completing the Great Race by posing at the Point.  Read more about the duck here.  And definitely give this article a read: What does the duck thinks about all day?

First stop on our first-ever milkshake crawl.  It was chain night: Red Robin, Chick-fil-A, and Steak 'n Shake.

The three of us shared one vanilla and one chocolate shake at each restaurant.  Oh, and we obviously had to order a small savory palate cleanser with each set of samples.

According to Steak 'n Shake, Laura is nearly five feet, nine inches, and one friendly milkshake tall.

September was very spirited, but October might end up being even more so.  Lots of birthdays (a few friends turning 30!), one wedding, apple and pumpkin-picking, more Pitt football and a road trip to Annapolis.  Plus, my little sister turned, cough, 27 yesterday!  Happy birthday, Jen! :)  Bring it on, Buc-tober!
