"Nobody better lay a finger on my Butterfinger."

Do you guys remember those commercials?  I haven't seen one of those ads in years.  And now I feel old.

Pretty soon, I'm going to be that crazy lady chastising kids for not knowing who Zack Morris is (and his awesome pre-historic cell phone).  "You don't know what Full House is?  Get off my lawn!"

Yikes.  Take a deep breath, crazy lady.

Although I'm not pushing my 90s childhood memories on younger generations just yet, I have gone a little crazy for the past 48 hours.  Bonkers for Butterfingers.

It started on Saturday in the car en route to Ohiopyle for a day of rafting.  Somehow on the topic of food (shocking), Matt's friend brought up his beloved Butterfinger pie and asked how he could perfect the crust. Immediately, I spouted off a few things that came to mind.  Seconds turned into minutes.  To quote Matt, "You don't realize what you've just done.  She's going to think about this all day now."  True story.  And I did indeed contemplate all the possibilities and tweaks to make an absolutely legendary Butterfinger pie.

Just in case you were wondering, I did take a few breaks on the river to paddle hard and keep myself firmly planted in our raft.  No man or woman overboard for us!

Anyway, Mission Bart (as I've named my Butterfinger pie quest) will get underway shortly.  Because it may take some time to perfect all of the elements, I need something to satisfy my Butterfinger craving now.  Nay, yesterday.  And I need to share said quick fix with you.

I've picked three Butterfinger recipes that look knock-your-flip-flops-off-good.  Here they are:

1. Butterfinger caramel bars

2. Butterfinger krispie treats

3. Butterfinger popcorn balls

I'm having some trouble picking just one (at least at first, ahem) to make, so I'm enlisting your help.  Please vote for your favorite by Wednesday, June 19th at 11:59PM EST.  The recipe with the most votes will be what I make next and share with you.  Thanks for voting! :)

I doubt if I'll be able to wait a few days to put this Butterfinger craving to bed.  God save my soul if I ever lose my mind in my old age.  I'll probably try to plant Butterfingers in my garden and proclaim to the neighbors that the crop will be fantastic this year. #oldladybutterfingers
